Grimethorpe lies just under 7 miles by car to the North East of
Barnsley Town Centre and enjoys good access to a number of regional centres.
The land is located at the junction of Acorn Way and Oakroyd Crescent close to the centre of Grimethorpe with good access from the Western frontage.

The Site

The land is identified on the adjoining plan and amounts to approximately 0.32 ha (0.79 acre) A geological fault line runs through the site, interested parties are advised to refer to the SYMAS report within the Legal Pack for further information.

Planning

The site is designated as Urban Fabric in the Local Plan and therefore may be suitable for development subject to the relevant consents. The northern part of the site is landscaped with significant trees and vegetation which may constrain development. A tree survey and ecology assessment may be required as part of any planning application. Part of the site was used as a Dump therefore a contaminated land assessment may also be required. Interested parties are invited to make their own planning and highways enquiries in respect of possible schemes.
