Location
Wharncliffe Side village is some 7 miles to the North West of Sheffield, where the River Don runs between Wharncliffe Woods to the East and the A6102 Main Road to the West.
The island lies slightly downstream from Holmes Farm and the meeting of Ewden Beck with the River Don

Description
The island lies on the boundary between Sheffield City Council and Barnsley Metropolitan District Council. The area being sold is the Eastern section of the Island which accordingly to our digital mapping system amounts to 0.15ha (0.37 acre) but will be subject to seasonal variations and river levels.
